September 5th: Don Berner- Saxophone
Juno Award winner P.J. Perry has called Don Berner "one of Canada's fastest rising saxophone stars. Reads, doubles, solos, he does it all." and jazz icon Hugh Fraser has stated ,"Don's talent as a great saxophonist is supported by his compositional and band leading talents."
September 12th: Dave Babcock
Dave Babcock is a force on Edmonton's music scene. His unique ability to blend the sounds of jazz, hip-hop, house, funk and Latin music into his own contemporary style places him in a league all his own.
Dave Babcock’s debut album "Happenstance," featuring such tracks as "Bittersweet" and "Tricksy," has secured his place among the jazz instrumentalists in the city.
September 19th: Audrey Ochoa-Trombone
Audrey Ochoa is one of Edmonton’s' most prolific trombone players. Audrey is a full time performer, dividing her time between performance and educational activities. Audrey also performs with numerous ensembles including the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra, the Brass Knuckles, the J-Team, the Retrofitz and her own jazz ensembles.
September 26th: Don Berner-Saxophone
A former Grant MacEwan Outreach instructor, he maintains a busy performing, lecturing, and teaching schedule. In addition to appearances with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Berner has just released his second album, the critically acclaimed "Fortress of Solitude".
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our live jazz series an entertainment fee of 25 $ per person will apply if you choose not to dine with us.
